my rear shocks are completely gone; im bouncing all over the road and the back is hopping on every bump
im getting my check today and ordering shocks in a few days
i wanted to know if i should replace the front and back struts/shocks or only the rear ones
the fronts are fine but im just wondering if all 4 should be replaced together
i was gonna go the cheapest route and get the KYB GR-2 off ebay for $200
are those a good replacement for a 95 SE with 173K miles on stock springs?

another BOSE problem: my cd player doesnt work and hasnt for a few months so i use the tape deck and a diskman
for the past month the entire deck (radio/tape) would at times lose power completely. for me to fix it, all i did was disconnect and reconnect the negative battery cable and the deck would work again. This happened three times.
3 days ago, a new problem arose: the tape deck does not turn off. pressing the CD RADIO POWER TAPE EJECT buttons does nothing and even when i turn off the car and take the key out, the deck still has power. its always on Tape player. i think if i disconnect the battery cable again it would fix it but im actually satisfied with it always being on (better always on then off)
so my question is why is it not turning off and how can i solve the previous issue.
btw, im getting the pioneer 8600 in a month so till then i need this to work.
thanks for any suggestions

If you're buying a new stereo in a month, I'd say live with it! There's no help for those dammn BOSE units when they die (I know from experience!).

As for the shocks, well that's your call. Personally, I'd use this as an excuse to do a full spring/shock upgrade! It costs about the same amount of money or time to replace the shocks as it does to replace the shocks AND springs!

KYB GR2's and Tein H-tech Springs for $425 shipped on the group deals! (My combo. Reasonable ride, plus drops the car a bit for better looks.) Had them on the car for 4-5 months now and have been very happy.

I did the upgrade when my rear struts were blown (same as you!).
