Brake lights only sometimes working

I've had this problem for about 2 months or so occasionally my brake lights won't work. I mean all the tail lights light up when the lights are on, however when I press the brake pedal the lights don't get brighter. Now this only happens sometimes and it doesn't happen for too long it just starts automatically working by itself. I'm thinking maybe brake light switch. It's def. not fuse because it comes on and off. What do you guys think?

Check the brake light switch. Make sure nothing is getting caught up, it's adjusted correctly and the plunger is not sticking. Give it a shot of WD-40.

EDIT: There are two switches down there, check both of them.

Well I purchased a new brake light switch because it was only 9 bucks but I was not sure that there was another switch. Could it possibly be a loose wire? Thanks!!
