Where's the 3.0L going?

If the Altima is getting a 3.5L as well as the Maxima, what's going to happen with the 3.0L? Into a Sentra? Wouldn't that rock!

To my understanding altima will get the 3.0L out of the current Maxima(VQ30),then the Maxima, Pathfinder, Z car will get the VQ35. the altima will be offered with two engines one SR25DE with the 180 hp output which will be shared with the sentra SE-R.

Actually, the Altima will be getting the 240hp 3.5L V6. As for the 3.0L engine, it's still being produced in Japan for various vehicles in the "home" market. Just because it's not in the US doesn't mean Nissan doesn't have a use for it.
