Locking Brakes

My brakes are locking! anyone ever find a the problem? I'm thinking of changing my brake lines, since I'm buying new rotors and pads but I'm afraid that wont solve the problem.

I had my one rear caliper seize on me. That could be the problem for you. My mechanic told me it is a common problem for our year(s) Maximas. I'm very tempted to redo the entire braking system, the only catch is I never have the money.

Your post doesnt say much.............. how are they locking? All the time? are your brakes dragging? do they just lock very easily? It could be a bad brake line or a bad caliper....

that has happend to me sometimes, Once due to wet surfaces, another time in the morning a week ago, I think it was just too cold, and the tires were fully warmed up, so when I slammed ont he brakes, they just locked up.

I think the locking up problem is just a bad thing we have to try and deal with, I dont think good pads, and SS brake lines could cure it.

oh and dont forget tires.. if you have low tread on your tires, your going to be locking them up all over in the wet.
