Performance

I plan on to install a computer chip to enhance new HP. Which chip is the best to get. And Should i keep my stock axle or get an performance axle?

And keep your axles until they break.

Get the $20 chip off of ebay. Gives you like ~27 hp at teh wheels.








The performance chips are garbage. If you want more performance, get an ecu. But that's a lot of coin.

Buy an Intake or a ypipe if you want performance, do your self a favor, and your car, Stay away from the cheap ebay items that offer you miracles cause they just arent true

You should get those new titanium axles. They're stronger and they only weight 5 lbs each! A chip will make your engine make so much power that it's tear apart the OEM axles. It happened to my friend. W3rd!

Anyways!... Your axles will be fine as long as the are well greased and the boots are not torn. Dont even waste your money on those Chips on ebay, they won't do any better for your car than Doritos chips would. Go for either a JWT or a TS ECU.

He has got a 99 so he doesn't have any definite ecu options yet.

I am still waiting on some brave soul to modify their 99 ecu harness for a 96 ecu. I have the pinouts if anyone wants to volunteer.
