read the faqs... its perfect, all intake of the same style are the equivalent... there is no difference in piping as stated above... so whats the big deal? you pay for the filter pretty much... that filter will be fine, but some recommend k&n or popcharger...

go to google.com and type in ebay cold air intake site:maxima.org

and go to my site and look for TONS of threads on this topic: maxima.accessjdm.com/threads.html

this is the same cai kit i got it works great after buying a few things to go with it.and that thing is loud at wot.and yes i would buy it again i spent 50 dollars on mine and about ten more dollars on other parts.so its better then spending 150 for a name brand that does as good

1.i had to get some new bolts and nuts for the mafs
2.the couplings that come with it are a little small but you can get some hose to fix that

What about cutting the hole for it to fit? Is there anyway to bypass drilling the hole?

yep, this is the place racing style cai. it's great. i have it on and just like others said. sounds loud at wot and really nice low end gain. high end kinda sucks though, but i just did the clutch and flywheel upgrades, now it feels like i got my high end back.

and if you do get this set, change to k&n filter. it'll make a nice difference. and yes, you'll have to cut that 3" hole. there is no way to by-pass this unless you get another kind of intake kit.

WRONG! go short ram... you can get that intake off ebay, its what i did. you wont have to get another one, just use the mid-pipe (upper tube) and put your maf sensor on the end of that... then put your filter on the maf adapter plate...

you can still do whatever you want with the filter too...

its the best of both worlds because you lose a lot of low (injen) or a lot of high (pr) you get the middle...

I agree, the shipping cost are way high; so they give you a good price on ebay and then instead of charging you about $10 for shipping they overcharge you for shipping it to get more money out of you; very smart right? well however $50 is way better than around $150 for an intake with a brand name, just as every body says only use the cheap filter until get money to buy a better one.
