I would seriously consider it if I was 10 years younger and single.
I can't picture me and my family in something like that now.

actually, the styling is growing to me, i would take a silver one with the wing. a lot of cars seem ugly to me at first but then it grows on me, ie. the new stang, celica, the new civic cpe.

I like it but I think it will grow a little on me cause hell I didn't like the 5th gen for a while but it grew on me, I love the back of the 5th but I just thought the grill and headlight are to big. Nissan should have done the new max like the new I-30 and had the slimmer front end and Xenon headlights would be a plus. I just want to convert my headlights to the ones on the new Q45 and I will be very happy

There was a Blaze Yellow WRX at Carlsbad Raceway last weekend. He actually lives near Nizmolee, I think. Anyways, the owner had a boost controller and an exahust (I think N-1) on the car, and it ran a 13.9@97

actually

I almost bought a '99 Impreza RS before I saw my Max and it's $5000 factory incentive!! Man I drove the **** outta the Sube on the test drive and I must say it handled incredibly. I was a little disappointed with the power though, while launching was decent, it just didn't have the power to get the car moving at freeway speeds. The salesman even asked to drive us back to the dealer, and he proceeds to pull the car off the road onto a gravel shoulder and stop. He goes "check this out", turns the wheel a quarter turn and FLOORS it. Guys this car went exactly where he pointed it, no sliding, no spinning, we just took off. I couldn't beleive it (my rx7 would've just spun out wildly). Anyway, if the WRX came in a 2-door, and they didn't frick it up with the new lines, that car would be perfect with the extra HP (the '99 I drove only had 165 if I recall correctly). Oh yeah, my Max came in at $500 less than the equally decked RS that I was looking at, so no contest. How could I pay more for a smaller car with less HP? It almost might be worth it now with the turbo.

almost

Hi,

Yeah the WRX would almost be worth it if. Actually, I think that it is worth it if you have the money and don't mind spending it on a car of this size and rep. I was considering getting one but I couldn't turn down a good deal on a used 5th gen. I'm still considering picking up a used WRX in a couple years when they become available on that market. But then again, the Max does seem to fit the bill for my lifestyle and age. It's too bad that Nissan will probably be pricing me out of future generatons of the Maxima though.

Forget the subaru

Yo DRU what is that picture you have on your post. Is that a prototype Honda/acura. Does that thing excist. That is a hot car it looks like a cross between a prelude and a acura
legend. Forget the subaru, that blue 'thing' is hot.

Re: Forget the subaru

Its sort of like a mix between the lude, legend and older tl. i got this a while ago but lets see if my memory still stands. i think its suppose to be the newer RL sports edition. its suppose to have a V8 and compete against the M5. im not sure if it really is a prototype but thats the rumor from the legends board (about 5-6 months ago), used to be a legend owner.

HAHA GXEme...

You said the one thing I forgot to mention... I am fantasizing about picking up a used WRX in 2003 when I finish paying off my Max!! It would make a really fun weekend burner. Oh yeah, even if Nissan up-scales the Max in a couple years, you'll have a nice gen5 to trade in so you can still get those payments down. Good luck whichever way you go.

BTW Maxi-milliyon, the blue car is a concept RL-sport.

Even though I HATE Mitsubishi's build quality, I am waiting for the EVO VII. That'll put the WRX back in its place.

actually, i'd have to say i love the new WRX. how many other new cars could you take out right now, and go run a 0-60 in 6.7 right out of the box, then slap some dirt tires on it, and go rallying the same day? most people hate the styling, but i love it. it's anything but domestic-like, which is what subaru needed to imply. besides, the aftermarket for that's going to be fantastic. i'd be buying one right now if i wasn't tryin to get myself outta debt (the #1 reason why college sux). be happy, we're finally getting good japanese turbo cars back in the states!
