The bulb is probably blown. Buy another bulb and try that and if the high beam works then problem solved. If not then there's a problem somewhere else.

There isn't a second high beam bulb. Our cars use a dual filiment 9004 bulb. pull out the bulb and check the filament.

Would both high beams really blow at the same time though? That seems kinda odd unless something else is wrong. May as well give it a shot though...pretty easy thing to check.

There may be a short somewhere. The high beam runs off a different wire so that may be something. Both my brights have blown before so it is possible

Seems to me like it'd be more of a fuse problem... right? If the bulb works with lowbeams but not highbeams, it doesn't necessarily sound like a bulb problem. Unless of course, I'm missing something.

The highbeam filament could be broken while the lowbeam is still good. I just seems odd to me that both HB filaments would go bad at the same time.

Nope. Same bulb. Just pick a 9004 of your choice.

this would be a good time to do the "9004 to 9007 bulb conversion"

just another note... The high beams and low beams use the same fuse. There is a separate fuse for the each head light though (drivers side/ passenger side).
