$500Cdn to repair a cracked Stillen lip?
Since I'm bringing in my Max to the autobody in a couple of weeks to have it repainted (yes, I got bumped hard last week in the pouring rain from behind by a Pontiac Firefly which left indentations in the plastic. It was in perfect condition after the repairs from the last accident ) I asked for a quote on fixing my cracked Stillen lip. Because its cracked they said they need to reinforce it from behind, so that and paint they estimated $500Cdn. Should I instead just get a new Stillen lip or a CF lip instead for that price?

Try to return to stillen. If you know there customer service then you know you will probably be out of a lip for awhile. They will want you to send it back and ......... or just buy another. I would nt pay that much to fix one

I took my car to a body shop for some quotes to fix the front bumper after I had a minor fenderbender. This mess actually cracked my front bumper. Body shops wanted between 800 - 1000 bux canadian to fix and paint. They were going to use a "aftermarket replacement" front bumper. No way. I went home, looked in the phone book and called some plastic repair places. I found a guy who will paint and repair the bumper for <200. Check that option out. Also, if you hit up some of the smaller independant shops, some of them will do "under the table work". That way, they don't give you a bill and they don't have to report the work as income to the gov't. You get a discount on the work and don't have to pay the Gouge and Screw Tax (GST).
Hope that helps you out.
