I need to a you all a simple question

I needto get an oil change. I would do it myself but the weather is getting colder everyday. Can anyone reccommend any oil change services because I hate Jiffylube and I like to know if you guys had any good experiences with anyone or bad like jiffy.

Thanks

Go to your local Nissan dealership if you don't like jiffy.

Id say to do it yourself, but if its really cold outside, you could take it to your favorite mechanic. I dont see why they wouldnt do it.

I would do it but I have no garage and waiting for that good weather won't do...
When I had my Mitsubishi in for oil change at JiffyLubes... THey said they topped off all fluids.... NOT!!!! NO Antifreeze and they put 1 quart extra of oil in which I hear is so much worse then having less oil.. Looks like the Nissan dealer.... Thanx guys

firestone's have decent prices. i got this card where they're only 12.99 + plus 2 disposal fee. they send coupons in mail ads all the time for like 10.99 though.

for that price it's totally worth going there to me but usually i just pay this meineke $20 cash and call it a day. not worth bringing the oil to autozone or recycling center to me.

He's not saying he can't do it, he's saying it's cold out. There's no way I'm laying in the snow this winter to change my oil.

You got it

and you dont exactly know what oil or filter they're putting in unless you bring them the oil and filter...

5 Quarts of Mobil Synthetic @ $5 each =$25 + $7 (for filter) + $25 for the guy to do the job is a nice $57 for an oil change when I can do it myself for $32..

Yea I'm a cheap fock so what.

For God sakes, it's an oil change. I don't care if I lived in Siberia, I'd change my own oil. I hate anyone touching my car especially for something so easy.

It'd be like me calling for AAA to come help me if I got a flat. Even in sub-zero weather I'd change my own tire, if not to save time, then for personal pride.

If they can raise your car at the shop... be it with the ramps you drive onto and they raise the whole car or you drive in between the two towers and they move the arms under your car to raise it, then there's a way for you to raise your own car.

And if you're so low that you can't fit anything under the car to jack it up on your own, how would you handle a flat tire or any other underbody work like an exhaust ? Dig a hole, get in it and have some drive your car over it so you can work underneath or perhaps a forklift ?

Seriously, if you're body kitted and dropped enough, how do you handle these issues ?

It only takes like 15 - 20 mins, plus 95% of time your waiting for the oil to drain out. While its draining out you can run back inside and finish that hot cup of tea. You don't even have to jack the car up to do it or take the splash guard off.

thats my main concern, can u even jack up the car if u have stillen kits? cuz i beleive the side skirts are going to be in the way. the issue is not fitting the jack stand under the car, its positioning it under where the clip is and having it go where its suppose to go without harming the side skirts?

Jiffy Lube is $31 bucks after tax for oil change/fluid check around here. I only go there because theyre done in 10 minutes, so its rather convenient. Im gonna check out Firestone across the street for my next one.

BTW - If you're worried about your body kit Jiffy is the way to go they dont use lifts they have a guy in the floor who drains and changes the filter then another guy up top to fill.
