Follow the instructions that came with the FSTB. Use a torque wrench for accurate and uniform tightening of the nuts. This is an easy installation.

i've installed the stillen and a courtesy fstb on mine (and now am very happy with the improved stillen fstb). the courtesy was somewhat higher than the components in the engine bay and didn't interfere with that. the only thing about the stillen was trying to get the brackets on successfully. the inner strut bolts wouldn't fit on there because the nuts on the bolts that held the bar onto the brackets was in the way. so i had to angle it on there. other than that, it's quite easy!

Don't over-tighten the 3 nuts on the strut towers or you could break the stud loose from the strut. IIRC, the correct torque is 25 ft-lbs. but don't take my word for it, it's been a couple of years.

Actually, it's 29-40 ft/lbs. 35 is fine('95-'98).

I torqued mine to 40 ft/lb.

25 ft/lb is for the Addco RSB ... at least, that's what the directions said.

Just tighten them enough ...forget the torque wrench

You will need a large wrench to get those nuts of.
LARGE!!!
Same here I just tightened down the nuts real good.
I have not had any problems.
If you are concerned get the torque wrench to be safe.

Or you can get a breaker bar to get the nuts off.

And a torque wrench is highly recommended.
It's no real biggie. AutoZone/PepBoys/Auto parts store should be able to rent you one for a deposit. Use it to torque the FSTB and then return and get your deposit back.

Thanks for all your help guys, I installed it using a torque wrench from a local auto parts store here, and it works great. This was the best $38 I spent. Ican't belive the difference, its incredible. Even my dad, who has a 98 max, and hates any mods, drove my car today, and said wow, u actually bought somethign good.

If you got the Stillen FTSB, be sure to use the bolts that come in the little baggy...Some buddies and I found this out the hard way.

Went smooth. Took about 15 minutes going slowly. I got the Stillen unit and it really looks good. Just follow the directions (if provided) and take your time to make sure you do it right.
