"fuel inj sys left bank: lean"

what would you start with? could it just be my o2 sensor sending a false signal? or something having to do with the o2 sensor anyway?

any suggestions?

How many miles on the car? Have you had any other codes come up recently? I have a 95 Maxima that I replaced the O2 sensor on then had a code 0705 come up. I checked the inhibit swithch (cleaned the contacts) and reinstalled. Now I have a egr code. I talked to my bud that is a mechanic by trade and he told me to check the ground wires. I am in the process of trying to locate the suckers now. Supposed to be behind the driver's side kick panel.

Just a thought.. might save you a bunch of money.

 

120,000 on the car. i dont know if the o2 sensors have ever been changed

 

so does this code just mean a lean condition and the causes are probably the common causes of lean conditions?

i just wonder why it says fuel inj sys problem and not just "lean condition"

 

How do you run the enjine diagnostics?
