CEL after conversion to manual

My engine light is always on and off every 300 or so miles it goes off then 30 miles later it comes on. I didnt change the Engine ECU but its so annoying the rpms go crazy up and down all the time. Is it all because of the ECU?

what do you mean?

The only problem I have is the rpms going crazy on me on every stop light takes few seconds for them to drop down to idle level.

I'm not quite sure, but I think mine does that.

Switching to a 5spd ecu would probably get rid of the light.
