Alarm Beep mod help

Hey guys another newb here.
Any way i had a question about the alarm beep mod in the how to's. Can you hook the beeper up without the relay. I am using a back up truck beeper and was wondering if i can skip the relay. My dad thinks that without the relay the thing would beep all the time.

Also where would you reccommend i place the beeper on a 95. Thanks for any help.

P.S. I love this site. This is my first post

you do not need a relay. it will not beep all the time. the ground is the signal wire which sends the pulse. It depends how big the beeper you have is but it can be mounted anywhere under the bumper or in the trunk if its loud enough

green/orange= red on beeper

orange=black on beeper

You do not need the relay. Just connect the beeper you have to where it says to connect the relay in the write-up. If you look at the drawing, the relay is pointless.

I mounted my beeper where my license plate lights are, right up in the bumper out of the way of most weather conditions but still outside. Worked out great. I even used the same hole for the wires as the license plate lights so no need to drill either.

Yes…I highly recommend this. Hooking up the buzzer any other way is worthless, you can barely hear the buzzer if you mount it inside trunk. I’ve told a lot of people about this and no one has had any problems yet….

I got the same one from the write-up which is 85 dB at Radio Shack. They had louder ones there that were about the same size up to 120dB.
