Replaced Knock Sensor

I replaced my Knock sensor yesterday and wow what a diffirence. I had a bad sensor when I bought the car and did the resister trick until I came across a good deal on one. The resister made an improvement in performance and gas milage so I wasn't really expecting any gains. But with the sensor the car runs alot smoother now under accereration. I also was noticing that my trans seemed to be shifting slow and that to seems much better now. I wonder if the resister was affecting the ECU? Just thought I'd share with the group

You have no idea how much I hate you right now. Ive tried replacing this part about 5 times now. I must jsut be retarted cuz i cant even figure out how to get the bolt to turn. I have tried using the SkippyNet right up and the Motovate right up but it still just wont come off for me. Looks like im gona have to go to the dealership and pay some1 for what they say is 4 hrs of labor witch is like $300. This sucks! But congrats on getting the part replaced. Hope it works great for you!

It took me about 15min to change the hardest thing was getting the bolt back in. All you need is a good universal and a long extension
