no, they just lay over the stock ones.

you have to run the wires to the power inverter it came with and then those to the headlight on/off switch so they will illuminate when you turn your lights on or you can run them to a seperate switch if your lazy, but it will be ghetto.

if they came with a green/blue switch, youll have to mount that somewhere too.

good luck, i personally dont like them though, its just a preference.

All you do is get some 3M double sided tape and tape them over the stock ones. Line the little nubs up and you should be set. Just make sure they are down really good or your needles will skip and not work properly...

like i said, no you dont need to screw them down, liek icedogg said, only tape is needed. but make sure you dont f*** the needles in anyway. chances are, they are going to skip anyway.

**** dude...don't screw them in...whats the point...just frieken tape them!!!!

You won't screw your needles up unless you REALLY mess up. I did mine like 3 weeks ago...needles skipped the first time I put them in because I forgot to get double sided tape, and once i put the double sided tape in, everything was fine...

There is no need to screw them in...

Someone said this up there somewhere, but you can hook it up to your light switch so it functions just like the stock. Personally, I had neons already hooked up so I had a positive feed. I just tied into that and made a separate switch for it...

u take the black wire and attach it to one of the many GROUND (GND) screws on the back of the guage cluster. i took my red screw and spliced it into the dimmer switch instead of the headlights. works just fine amd comes on with everything else.

omg, the power goes to either the light switch of like 96stillen said, the dimmer, which is byfar way easier. the ground is grounded on the back of the cluster. not hard.

maybe you shouldnt be doing this mod...

Hey jackis2888, this is a forum to transfer our knowledge to other ppl such as noobs, you don't have to be harsh on them. Everyone has been at that point where you don't know what you are doing, so how about you help them instead of turn them away from modding thier cars.

-Anyway back to your gauges, if you want you can make small holes with a sharp knife in the gauges to screw them back( I did it and no problem so far 6 months) just be carefull is kind of hard to see where to make the holes.

-Power comes from the dimmer, there are gonna be 3 cables on the dimmer, the black cable is ground, then there are 2 other cables with 5v each. The gauges will work no matter which cable you use. If it is the wrong one the dimmer on your gauges is gonna be backwards(dimmer on high is gonna be low on gauges, dimmer low is gonna be high on gauges)

Hope this helps and keep modding your car man.

I have the same switch and mine come on when I turn the lights on, I dont have to hit the switch, so I dont know whats up. I wouldnt ground it to the back of the gauge cluster though, I have had past problems with that and they stopped working so I needed to move the ground somewhere else.

SDB318, dood just hide the little box in the steering column somewhere and have it on all the time. The gauges will light up when u turn your lights on, bc the dimmer only gives power when the lights are on, so do as I tell u, put the + and the - in the dimmer, - with the middle cable in the dimmer(should be black)
