Depends on jurisdiction and local laws, but it probably is. Weather you get pulled over or not, is a different question...

I think that its illegal anywhere because blue is an emergency color... but you normally have to be doing something more then just that to get pulled over.

Yup, i've done this, well not completely blue but the Polarg bulbs which are white with a tint of blue. I'm from Toronto, and yes I think its illegal but havne't been pulled over for it, quite a lot of ppl do this here, especially those Honda ppl....

I've had the polarg hyperwhites in my parking lights for a year and had no problems. I also use optiblue blue/purplish lights in my clearance lights. I've had no problems from police with those either. now BLUE blue lights.....hmm, you might get sweated eventually and be thrown a fix it ticket...but who knows.

I'm not sure of their legality. But here in NYC, I've seen a lot of people with blue bulbs in their parking lights. Like the other people have said, it's probably more like a secondary offense, where they'd have to bust you for something more serious (like speeding) and then bust you for the blue bulb as well.

I have Polarg super whites in my parking lights and they're blue when they're not on. I haven't had any problems at all.

Where are you located?

I got them at my local performance shop. I'm sure you can get them down there somewhere too. If not, just do a search on polarg bulbs on the web and you'll get plenty of vendors!

hope this helps...good luck!

The bulbs have a blue tint. When they're not on, they are blue. But when they're on, they emit a bright white light...with a slight blue tint.

so...I too prefer superwhites!

the blue cornering lights look good. They're called OPTIBLUE's...they are a royal blue I suppose, so they are a somewhat dimmer blue when they are on but a really vivid purple blue when the cornering light is engaged (in turning) I have hyperwhite parking lights, Hiper 80 watt headlights and yellow Ion (i think) driving lights. It's a good setup. I'll have pics online soon of it all.

i think people would mistake it for hazard lights or somethin...there are not many colors that would look cool that arent illegal etc. i considered red...but you'd get serious sh*t for that one, i say stick with the blue
