Bringing max in tomorrow

i bought my max used back in october and it worked fine then a few weeks ago i started having the stuttering/jerking at red lights that many people have been talking about at first i thought maybe just a coicidence but i did read those threads that said eventually the CEL will come on and today it did(havent pulled the codes)... fortunately im still under waranty with the used car place im not 100% sure its the coil packs but if it is will this be an in and out thing or are they gunna need to keep it and send it to the dealer or could it be something else? i dont wanna go there and have them replace a coil pack then send me home to shut me up and then im

what year is your Max? If it's a '99 then this it seems like you have bad coils as this is common for '99. You can also find new coils cheaper than what the dealer is gonna charge you

yes it's a '99, the used car dealer i bought it from has a 90 day waranty so they fix it for free i took it in today and they told me to bring it back tomorrow and they would pull the codes to see what was wrong and try to fix it and the guy said he doubts its a coil pack which is what i thought it was but who knows i just dont want them to clear the CEL and then in a few weeks have it come back on for the same thing and then im screwed

99% chance its a coil pack. I bet the dealer will just replace the one acting up. You'll be seeing the the same problem again in a few days, weeks, months. Thats why with a 99 its always best to replace them all at the same time.

Nissan issued a TSB on this problem. Copy the TSB and have the dealer replace all coil packs.

They're probably just jerking you around so they don't have to pay for the repair.
