i am going to have my car repainted in a few weeks but im having a hard time choosing a color. continuing with my stock color (emerald green) is an option, but im also considering going with super black. but thoes are pretty common and part of me wants something else, but i dont know what. has anyone ever seen a silver 4th gen? like straight benz silver. i think silver might not look right but im kinda interested. anyone got any other color suggestions? red, blue and white are out of the question.

also. when you change the color of your car, do you have to get a new VIN plate?

yes you need a new vin. your car is nice so any color would look hot. i have seen some silver 4th gens, and black looks just like your sig. hmm i hate green i say get the black, the silver is a very drastic change but still would look good too. its all up to you

the new 05 altima "smoked" is really nice!
just stay away from "viper blue" very! nice looking color but a little over done for custom paints. white with like a blue pearl in it looks really nice.

i also would like to get mine repainted one day... i thought of any shade from pearl white to the blackest of all blacks...

but why pay for a new color when someone else already has it? like black, or white... if you are going custom, try something new... my .02...

charcoal .. or the 5.5/6th gen majestic blue metallic ... there was someone on here who repainted his 4th gen w/ a color from the 350Z

or to make your 4th gen really stand out, how about some of these colors from the 350Z

Daytona Blue

Redline

i would do something close to or similar to ur stock paint, cause it would just look ugly having the inside of the frame different color, unless ur gonna do that too...then i would go black, im going the top secret star gold cause it would match my beige inside well.

i all over that color.......its just SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

imma be the first TOPSECRET maxima

werd. does nissan still produce DJ2? or do you have to get it matched? cuz my uncle restores cars, and we were thinking of repainting my max, but i was wondering if i could keep it emerald, but add a little more flake. whatever, im kinda tired, so this probably doesnt make sense...

this mercedes gun metal or metalic silver would look awsome.

my only concerns are;

1. if going with a color other than the stock one, ie ( switching form green to black or to grey) will a body shop usually paint inside the doors and trun and engine bay?

2. is it more expensive to change colors rather than just sticking with whats already there?

3. say i were to go with the lexus grey or the benz grey. would it be more expensive cus thoes colors are from another car or would they just try to match it?

I second White with Blue Pearl.

Yes, it's more expensive to switch colors due to the fact of Door Jams, inide the trunk, under the hood, etc.

No, if goin custom the only time your car will be more is for a pearl paint job because it is a 3 stage paint job or graphics of course would be more. Other than that, you can say Sh*t Brown to Stock color to Lexus Grey, that won't affect the price unless of course it's a pearl.

I'm hopefully painting mine in the spring and I can't decide on the color either. I was thinking something more custom though with flakes in it.

Stick with a color that as close to stock as possible. It'll cost less.

If you do get it painted another color, they might want to pull your engine to paint the entire engine bay.

But I love that Merc gunmetal. Teh hotness.
