trouble with led bulbs

i bought some 24 led bulbs for my turn signals, and when i went to install them in the front, they didnt work, and caused a hyper blinker for the rear taillights. when i put them in the rear taillights, they lit up, but still had the hyperblinker effect. what gives?

yeap

i put leds in ma rear taillights as well, and they also cauz that hyper blinker thing. i think its because for some reason the car doesnt read that there are bulbs in there. i dunno wat else it could be.

you need a load resistor for them to blink normal.

Throw on a 6ohm resistor.

ok, wow you are all wrong. its because the bulb is an 1157, not 56 bulb, secondly, they have the be inserted appropriately, with the 8 watt contact in the right spot and the 27 watt in the right spot. done.

6 ohm resistor will do the job, that's how I got mine in. They blink perfectly.

No your wrong, whenever you put in an LED bulb into a circuit like our turn signals it has different resistance.

And your a retard because our turn signals front and back are 1156's... single filaments. Only the front corner light and stop lights are 1157.. dual filaments.

Who said anything about the rewire?

If your talking about the front corner lights, all you do is cut one of the nubs and push it in backwards... thats still not the light hes talking about.

do you put the resistor on one of the wires? How do you do this?

i am talking about the rear blinkers...they still are 1156. and it is because i need an ohm resistor. after talking to my dad who is an electronic engineer, he filled me in. think radioshack would have anything like that? or would that be special order.

and jackiss, you came onto the thread acting like you knew what you were talking about saying we were all wrong, so expect to get flamed when you have the slightest idea. and btw, who says you need a new socket for the "rewire" of the 1157 bulbs to work?

thanks for the input!

Just splice in the resistor into the 12v wire like you would splice in an in-line fuse and tape it up nice.

Thats a first

Why thanks... I think.. sometimes you just have to say things as they are.

I really dont care what people say, I just hate when misinformation is being spread and people who are trying to learn are misinformed.

If your not sure or dont know, just ask.. dont go out thinking you know everything.
