Not starting...ideas?
Hi,
After I pulled the starter, replaced the worn out brushes, and reinstalled, the car will not start. It turns over, but now acts like the spark plug firing order is wrong. I checked the plugs, wet but firing. I tried starting fluid and got nothing. Checked to see if I knocked any connectors loose or left anything unhooked, nope.
Anybody experience anything like this before? Need some help. Thanks
Jason

The car was starting before I fixed the starter. When I tried to start it afterwards it cranked and cranked and acted like it wanted to catch a few times, but now it doesn't even try...like no spark, but I checked, and am getting spark. Like I said earlier, it is turning over like an engine with the spark plug wires in the wrong order. Pulled the front spark plugs and they're wet so it's getting fuel. I'm just guessing but could the camshaft position sensor have gotten fried by jumpstarting?

Check both crank position sensors and the camshaft position sensor.
They control ignition and fuel delivery. Camshaft position control fuel timing. The initial start actually makes all the injectors spary at once, you've got wet plugs so fuel is working. Your spark isn't right so check the crank position sensors first.
