The reason this site sucks

When I click on the search feature it says they are trying to save server space, and the feature is only active for paying members. But when everyone is posting redundant posts asking the same questions over and over again because they can’t search the site isn’t this taking up more space on the server? This site is basically useless without the search feature. I understand they need people to give them money but do they really think people are so stupid to believe the lie about server space.

Donating issues aside, he is kind of right. I mean just look at the front page right now and theres 2 threads, both same topic, about using clearcoat to clear out tailights. Both of these threads have at least 2 pages of responses. All of that crap is just useless. A y-pipe and intake question comes up at least once a day.

I am new at posting here. I have tried several times to use this site but it is useless without a search function. I am a member of several other car forums, RX7, BMW, and 240SX sites and the search function works just fine with these sites. I just find it insulting that the owners of this site think that we (Maxima owners) are so stupid that we would believe it saves server space not using a search function, but posting numerous redundant posts over and over again helps save space. It seems like a deceptive way to get money.

actually, not letting everyone search makes the site faster. also, "useless" "redundant" topics and be deleted

if you have a question and dont want to pay to search then ask your question. if you dont like the way the site is run, get the *** out

this is not because people can not search, its because people are stupid and cant scroll down half a page to see another thread on the same topic.

Exactly, couldn't they think of something better than taking away the search? I plan on donating after the holidays but it won't be so that i can search. I just think that it would make more sense space wise if they opened up the search again. And i hate reading about that damn testors clearcoat enamel, and a y-pipe thread everyday, if people could just search for them they probably wouldn't post useless threads. Anyway, People that post about those usually get more responses than someone asking a legit question, which just takes up even more server space. Oh well WATEVER

If you really think this site "sucks" maybe your presences isnt needed here. There are reasons for Stickies, which are topic threads that are repeatedly asked. Why dont you read those first, and then judge the site.. Thanks, thread locked.
