Has anyone ever put (or heard) glasspacks on a Max. I have a stock 95 and was wanting to put exhaust. I don't really want the bees in a can sound. Do straight through mufflers, like glasspacks, cause that sound.

I was thinking about getting 2.25" pipe from cat to muffler and 2.25" pipe from muffler back and a tip. I was thinking a flowmaster 40 series muffler. Any suggetsions

Also can i get loud exhasut without the bees in a cansound. And if i dont go resonated on the b-pipe will i get the bee sounds.

I dont know a lot about exhaust and couldn't find anything about the glass packs here. Thanks for the help and plz dont flame too bad

 

I used to have a glass pack on my car, I had it in place of a resonator... it didnt do much.. actually it didnt do anything, it was still loud and nasty

The only way to NOT have that loud annoying drone or raspiness is to get a resonator.

Currently I have a 2.5 " catback with a resonator and a flowmaster 80 series, I couldnt be any happier.

 

Flowmasters are not "glasspacks"

Flowmasters are chambered mufflers. "glasspacks" are straight through mufflers with fiberglass packing. Any decent muffler has a perforated core (glasspacks usually have louvered cores) and stainless steel packing (instead of fiberglass).

Had a straight through glass pack on... took the thing off in a about 4 days because the sound was loud and nasty!!

I have a generic chambered "turbo" muffler on now and i love it!!
