another big question for all you pros with BOSE.... i need to know the different ways that i can install a system into a car with the bose system in it. I know that i can do ti with no cuts by getting a converter from audiolink which is 90 bux, and also a harness for like 35... is this efficient? or can i just get a cheap converter somewhere else and wire it myself...

anyone have ideas/pics/or info on this, please post with is... also... is it hard to take the dash apart? and where are all the screws for taking the dash apart (how do you reach the back of the BOSE??)

Stereo

I recommend Crutchfield.

BOSE removal:

Automatic, take the shift cover off by popping it up with a long skinny flat head, or a bread knife is better.

Either transmission: pop cigarette lighter out. Remove one phillips screw holding ash tray in. Take a screwdriver and pry out the right side of the ash tray, its in there good, dont be afraid, you won't break it. Pry out the section where the hazards, defroster are GENTLY, you don't want to mark the dash. It's held in by clips that pop out but they are firm. Now you just have two 10mm bolts at the top and 2 at the bottom of the housing that holds the stereo and heat controls to the inside of the dash.

the best converter is the SOUNDGATE it is made for the bose and has a few settings.i have it in my car. i used it to conn. a rockford fosgate 800a2 with 2 kicker 10" square solo's. i have some mean bass. you just have to have the right parts.
