Rear window switch LED's
 

I was installing led's in my window switches last night. However, last night, when i got to the rear window switches, I couldn't get the led out. After hassaling with it for a long time, it finally came off, but it came of with the contacts. Now all thats left is cardboard and solder won't stay in the spot. Any suggestions of what to do now?

If I have to get new rear window switches, any suggestions on how to take out that led safely?

Were the LED's almost flush with the circuit board for the rears? I bought an extra switch set as a backup incase I screwed up, my Max is a 95 and the rear switches turned out to be different so I'm assuming they are for 97> so I had to use my orginals. The front switched out perfectly, if all else fails I have a rear set that have been converted to ocean blue 5000mcd that I'm assuming will fit 97>? and I have a front set spare that I can convert (have extra ocean blue 5000mcd LEDs) or leave factory . You can try just soldering a wire to make a "bridge" from point to point connection doesn't look as neat but it works. Removing that LED is a B***H, you just have to loosen it from the solder from underneath, don't leave heat on too long and keep pulling on it with pin nose pilers and persuasion good luck

The led's were flush with the circuit board. I did my fronts already, they were easy. But my rears have nothing to solder to. When i finally got the chip off, it came out with the contacts and the solder won't stay on the board. I don't know what to do now.

Solder it like this where the longer lead in the picture is the postive lead of the LED.
