Bald Tires + Slight Incline in Driveway=pwn3d
I guess its time for new tires or atleast I have to rotate them. I'm having trouble getting through my neighborhood and my driveway while I watch everyone wizz by and stop and go with no problems. Maybe I should look into some Blizzaks. Hmmm. Here are some pics of my car and the 15+ min it took to get up my driveway... As you can see in the pic, the driveway is somewhat been paved but I guess the screamin eagles couldn't handle it...

you mean you lose traction easily? check the tread depth, I also have. . . had I should say some very very bald tires, I mean they were starting to look like slicks, and I just rotated them to the back (since the back seem new and perfect) until I get some new tires. If you back are in better shape, yea put the max in the garage jack it up and rotate.

I'm riding on Michelin Sport All Season tires, a little bit left on the tread, and cannot get up my girlfriend's driveway. I usually give it my best, by stop moving half way up, hit the brakes, and slide the rest of the way down. I just park at the bottom and walk up.

is your drivway that steep? i had really bald tires last year and i had no problems and my driveway is probably steeper but i cant tell by your pictures. then again i always back my car in so that might actually make a difference. give it a shot, its worth it, not like you would be wasting much more time lol. definitly recomend rotating tires, thats all i did, havent had enough snow to really test it out and give u feedback.

yep yep yep......i get to sit back point fingers and laugh...........that is until the huricane season starts again :-(
im guessing you dont know any one who can give u a lil push to make it up the driveway.
try shoveling the snow and get some gritty sand to pour in your path, should help for a lil while
shovel the driveway and salt it to prevent large buildups.
(this is all advice given to me by my dad who sits here lookin at your pics, he is from canada.)

I'm on a very tight budget, does anyone know where I could find either of these tires for a good price? I checked with Tirerack.com, that is the best i've seen so far.: Continental contiextreme contacts or Sumitomo HTR+. The HTR+ is abit cheaper than the Continentals but i've heard nothing but good reviews on the Continentals. Also I plan on changing just my front 2 tires, I dont really have enough cash to change all 4, i pray the back tires has some meat left. Is that a bad idea?
I have sumitomo scrixon 4 all season, and they are horrible. but who knows the htr+ could be better. Im thinking about getting some snow tires myself, all seaons just dont cut it in the winter

Bah. That's not very steep of a driveway. And how could you get it up? I actually really like my dunlops winter sp 6000... there's not much tread left, and I have a good grade on my driveway. Also, I tend to use reverse up the driveway if I can't get up going forward.
