My ECU code said there was something wrong with my knock sensor. Is that the same thing as my 02 sensor or something completely off? My guess is that it has to do with my fuel line somewhere being as how the only time i hear the word knock has to do with someone explaining octane rating for gasoline. Also says my ignition signal ciruit is bad and cylinder 1 misfire. I'm checking my plug and coil for cylinder 1 tomorrow but don't have a clue about the rest. Help anyone?

Your Maxima engine has three Oxygen Sensors located at various places in the exhaust stream. It has one Knock Sensor located in the top of the cylinder block. These sensors are separate items and serve different purposes.

The Diagnostic Trouble Code for cylinder #1 misfire is more important than the DTC for the Knock Sensor. Tackle the misfire problem first. After making repairs, reset the Engine Control Module to turn off the Service Engine Soon light. You may discover than one fix resolves both DTCs. Good luck.
