Jim Wolf Technology Stage 1 Clutch Vs. 5th Gen clutch

I may or may not be in the market for a new clutch soon and wanted to get all my options layed out.
Is anyone using the JWT Stage 1 Clutch? I saw on on cattman's website listed for $315 which isn't bad. Can anyone comment on this cluth kit.

I would also like to look into the 5th Gen clutch Kit. I know a coupe guys on here are running that combo can anyone comment and share Part #s. thanks in advance.

I'll never reccomend anything from JWT. I'd get the exedy, stock or 5th gen clutch. Why are you getting a staged clutch when your car isn't making that much power?

I didn't see an OEM replacement on JWT site so i figured that their stage ! was the closest thing. I guess 5th gen clutch it is.

I absolutely love my JWT clutch, but I think mine is considered a "stage 2"..

If I had bald tires I could probably chirp 4th or 5th. Chirping tires doesn't prove **** and I wish people would stop using that as proof of anything.

It's hard to consider which clutch is "better" because not many people go from multiple set-ups to compare. When you replace, you find no slipping, which is amazing. I have the 5th gen. clutch assembly, and love it. Clutch feel is great, it grabs well, and was just over $200 for the parts. For part numbers, look at jerryromenissan.com and look for clutch parts specified for the 2000 year Maxima model. I recommend this set-up highly.

doesnt it take a certain amount of power to chirp the tires? or is it purely just a revving and dumping trick?

but I agree I see/hear people chirping the tires and it doesnt impress me (F**kin Mustangs. . . )

I always jump the gun but most of the time no one wants to point it out. BTW, it's capacity. I have a stck clutch, not sure if it's the original one or if it was replaced but the SOB grabs like mother. I never actuall tried to chirp third but 2nd is easy on a fast shift.

How so? It's not like you need the trans out to change it. Is yours bad? It's a clutch operating cylinder and an alternate part number is 30620-31U10-.

its not bad but my mechanic will do it at the same time as the clutch install so there is no reason not to do it when its only a $50 part.
Can someone confirm those are the right 5th gen part numbers that have been used.

I didnt brag about chirping 3rd, I just ment it will hold the power and wont slip. My tires are far from bald, but they are kinda skinny and light. My point was my other clutch could bearly chirp 2nd so this was a huge improvment......but not like it proves jack but im sure it will improve my 1/4 mile times. Its a stock replacement so it feels normal, will last a long while, and its better than original so its a plus. I have no gripes with it. Stick with stock if youre N/A mang.

I have/paid:

clutch cover 30210-89F00 $109.41
Release Bearing 30502-41U20 $25.22
Clutch Disk 30100-40U14 $65.59

BigLou93SE has/paid (5th gen parts):
Pressure Plate 30210-89F00 -- $97.37
Throwout Bearing 30502-41U20 -- $29.08
Clutch Disk 30100-2Y904 -- $65.20

i also have the 5th gen clutch assembly. i have the 5th gen PP and the disc, not sure about the part numbers cus my mechanic ordered them for me and i forgot to ask him. it grips very well, better than a stock 4th gen clutch. i paid $190 for the parts shipped.
