It doesn't seem too difficult to do, but I got under the car today and found only 2 out of 3 drain plugs. I'm having trouble locating the drain plug on the rear side of the engine block. The manual says: 1.Open the radiator cap and drain plug. 2.Open the drain plug on the engine block (meaning only one?). The manual didn't specify if I should locate and open both drain plugs on the engine block, so is it possible to just open the bottom and front side drain plug and proceed with flushing?

I had the same problem too when I flushed my radiator using the Chilton manual. You should be okay with just the two. It may not be a 100% flush but you'll get most of it to drain.
Here is my old post about this:

Thanks for the info, do you also happen to know the bolt size on the front drain plug?

No sorry I looked in the Chilton but it doesn't specify. I'd have to get under my car to find out.

The block drain plugs are so difficult to reach most people don't bother with them at all. Drain the radiator, fill, run the engine until warm... repeat the process three or four times and you may feel confident that your cooling system has been flushed. Another useful technique is to run the engine with the radiator cap off and a garden hose stuck in the radiator fill neck, running at a trickle. The radiator overflow constantly, and that overflow will gradually approach pure clean water.

no need to get back under your car, I'll look at it again and try to find a matching socket. I know its a little bigger than my 1/2 socket. Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just flush it twice using the 2 plugs.
