Crank Sensor Part 2.....

Theres 2 Crank Sensors on our cars. The POS which is at the bell housing where the engine meets the Transmission and the REF which is under the Front Crank pulley.

The POS sensor in the bell housing, does the trans need to be pulled out. Does anyone have pics of the sensor and where its located and how to get it. Thanks any help would help me.

No, you do not need to remove the tranny, it is moounted on the front side of the bell facing the front of the car. You can see it from under the hood has the green/grey connector. The easiest way to get at it is to pop off the plastic mudguard on the drivers side and go from underneath. This connector had come loose on my car and it shut down on me while I was driving. The other one is located right under the pulley and can be accessed through the passenger side wheel well. The main component of these sensors are magnets, so I would recommend cleaning them before replacing them.
