cattman headers and cattback

Finally installed them. I got to say nice sound, nothing to loud like those hondas. I feel the increase in horsepower too.Acceleration is better. Definetly worth it!

Ok, when you say it's worth it have you had an exhaust setup before that you could compare to this or is it worth just cause you feel more power? That setup cost like $1200-$1400 plus an install for most people here as opposed to a ypipe catback combo that would be half the price of your setup and still have around 80% of your gains. Acoording to what I just said, it's not really worth it. Now, I'm planning on getting the headers but the only setback is that they will be worthless once I decide to boost. It's not like I'm biased here people.

I was just looking on a website at headers and cattback. How much did u end up paying for the parts and how much for labor if u didnt do it urself? I havnt done any performance mods on my 97 SE yet, but right now I'm looking at headers, cattback, Injen Cold Air Intake, and y-pipe. Any suggestions? I want basically more power without the ricer sound...i'm goin for a sleeper i think.

Why are you wanting both a y-pipe and a header, can't have both. Also whatever you don't get the injen.

They will be helpful when you boost, just matters what kind of boost, I assume you're going turbo where the headers will be worthless to you, but for S/C boost, these would seem to be the best set-up, but for N/A it's a waste of money if all you're after are HP gains, I still haven't seen a 3.0 dyno or track result that have convinced me otehrwise, nor even for S/cd apps either. .

he intelligent enough to know that they can be used with a sc... but he said he can't use them once he is boosted, so he meant tc by elimination...

Geez go ahead and grill me..

I was trying to elaborate because lately there's alot of misconception here, and since some on here will read that he's boosting but headers can't be used w/boost, the unfortunate less knowledgeable will be telling everyone that they can't use headers with boost, just trying to clarify for some other folks who aren't as cool as you guys and know it all.

I don't even have headers yet....but can't enough of their sound! I wish there were tons of different maxima setups on here with headers (all with a couple of vids each)....so I could listen to them all day and determine what setup I would want...

Kdog125, I also got the cattman catback, gotta say not that loud ricey sound at all, just enough to know you got something, its kind of a sleeper.also doesnt get crazy loud when your accelerating.

yeah i got em at the same time. The original was all rusted, so i just changed the whole thing. Usually you will get just in the single digits of hp on the catback. But it is 2.5 piping all the way.

Oh lord, another ******* noob. Listen, you can't have a cattman header sytem with any other y-pipe bacause it's a complete set from the heads to the cat converter. It's also not really a y-pipe, it's a long tube header system. Geez. You also can't just take the cattman header and use it with any other y-pipe or vice versa. Take up a hobby or something and don't bother correcting me again.
