Different methods of grounding, which is it?

The grounding kit I purchased lists all components that should be re-grounded as cylinder head, alternator, tranny, headlights, intake manifold and engine block. The how-to on vqpower.com grounds the timing chain, headlights, TB, intake manifold.

Which one is it? What components should definitly be grounded more than others?

Thanks

This should help you with your install. Here are pics of my installed grounding wire locations.

On the 1st pic the connection is right below the valve cover. There is only 1 space there so you can't miss it. On the 2nd pic, it connects to the alternator.

When grounding the alternator where exactly do you attach the ground.I think the alternator ground can be seen in this picture am i correct? Should a ground be connected to it.

Right, I can see where it connects in the 1st pic, but what does it ground, what component? And in 2nd pic, your wire is running from the headlight ground to...where exactly? I can't see how the alternator is being grounded in this pic. Once again, thanks for your help.

It's not grounding anything specific. Keep in mind that when choosing your ground points you want them connect to the component being grounded or to a solid ground like the car's medal frame so that it provides better ground to that component or other connections overall. This circled connection is one of those points that supplies the other ones with a better ground. If you look at your alternator, you will notice a bolt that is connected to the ground wire already connected. Connect your ground cable there or one of the other bolts located there since they are all connected to the same medal plate. These pics are only a guide and you are able to change the points to your application so feel free to experiment.
