need help quick!

I just added Lucas trans fix to my tranny. It feels like a different car! Shifts are nice and smooth.- I added the whole bottle (24oz) to the tranny. However it just dawned on my that I could have overfilled the tranny. (24 ounces is the equivalant of 3/4 a quart) I cant read the dipstick! It's worthless. Please advise! Everything is running A OK however. Should I be concerned?

The Lucas additive is only masking the real problem. It will act up, only worse, shortly down the road.

Well, if it does, I will bring it to Nissan as the car is under warranty. As for me adding the additive, I put it in as "preventative maintannce" What do you think about the overfill notion?

i wouldnt worry about it, but if your very concerned just drop the plug and drain 24oz. of fluic. i've done it before. you gotta be quick and handy. I think once i droped the plug in the jug when i wanted to drain just a little. and had to hold the drain with my thumb and dig in tranny fluid, for the plug. (very messy) i cant remember if that happened with my tranny fluid or motor oil. either way be carefull.

why did you add the lucus additive? are you using synthetic mobil1 auto tranny fluid? let me know why you decided to put in the lucus additive please. im considering it now.

i did the same thing with that Lucas tranny additive. what a bunch of crap. i just disconnected one of the tranny lines and drained it until it was at the full mark. a little bit of a pain to get the line disconnected but it wasn't too bad.

Check the level, engine running and the tranny is nice and hot. If it's just slightly over the Max line, I'd leave it alone. If it's way over the line, then you might want to drian some out.

But if the tranny is really shifting very well as it is, maybe..... just maybe you might want to leave it alone.
