i tried changing the knock sensor today but i couldn't crack it loose. i read the motorvate and skippynet sites on how to do it. i also don't have a 1/4" 12mm socket. all i have is 3/8" drive stuff (my dad's tools). i couldnt get the socket seated on the nut very well. everytime i tried to turn the ratchet it would slip. i didnt want to round the nut off so i stopped after a few tries.
is my problem using 3/8 drive instead of 1/4" drive? can i use WD40 or similar to loosen it up?

i can get my hand in there fine. i only have a tiny cut on finger. it's not all that sharp in there. it's more pokey thank sharp if that makes any sense
