I have a 96 5spd.
When I accelerate slowly it seems to be uneven when I get around 2500 and higher rpm.
I dont experience this under hard acceleration.

Can anyone tell me if this is a fuel injector symptom?
or maybe a noisy throttle position sensor?

Idle is smooth and no other noticeably negative symptoms.
I only burn Premium, and service regularly.
I have had the car for only 4000 mi (58k on tach).
Have not changed fuel filter yet according to records, but I thought the fuel filter would only be a culprit for harder acceleration woes.

since you have 58k maybe its the...60k tune up?...plugs? valve adj? tb? throttle cable? It can be a multitude of things. Please explain the history of the service. Your quote "regular services" without more explination makes the answer fairly difficult to answer.

P.s. its not the tach (measures engine speed)..its the odometer (measures distance traveled).
