Well, I had a little concussion, so I don't even remember getting into the car when we left. Last thing I remember I was at her dad's house. I was conscious during the whole thing, though. My GF said I had told her to put on her seatbelt like 10 secs before I lost control. And that I told her to start praying as it was happenning. After it happened I got out and sat in the road, asked her why she was crying, I thought we were still at her dad's house. I had even told her my parents phone number to call.

Onto why it happened. I don't know, I don't remember anything. My GF says I wasn't speeding anymore than 10mph, if that. (45zone) The state trooper thinks I was going 75. (don't think so) She says someone was in the other lane and I was close to the yellow line and kinda jerked it, it started fishtailing, we swerved back and forth and was completely sideways when we went airborne over the creek, and flipped end over end 2 times, landing on our wheels.

I always have thought of myself as an excellent driver, and could always control my car very well. It sickens me to think that I lost control. Worst part is I don't know what I did wrong.

Of course the most important thing is that she was ok. Then me. Very thankful we were unhurt.

As far as parting it out, not sure yet. Haven't talked to insurance yet. (Please don't reply for any requests, if I do so, I'll post a new thread for that)

I bought this car from someone, with all the mods done to it. My old car was an automatic. (I think it handled better with 18's, Sprints, and stock struts (for 2 hard years and never blew). This setup with eibach, kyb agx, and 17's wasn't as good.

If I missed any questions, ask again.

Thanks to everyone who replied with warm comments.

You were getting some good road head...

I would feel the same too. Things happen. Looks like the max is a safe car. Get another maxima and start over.

Wow, im glad to see your ok. Our cars, as much as we love them can be replaced. Ourselves and our loves cannot. It looks to have held up well, makes me feel better. I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt!!!

Wow I am glad to hear you are OK. I had a very similar experience myself. I lost control of my 1st maxima only a few weeks after I got it. I guess I spun around once or somethign but I never flipped luckily. The only thing I had was some cuts on my foot since I was wearing sandals. Good luck and I hope everyone is a little more careful.

Geeez...you've been given a second chance at life! Reminds me of what had happened to me. My sister flipped her 2 week old Pathfinder while I was asleep in the back seat w/o a seat belt. I walked away with a minor head bump. My sister and her b/f was rushed to ER, they were wearing a seatbelt. Go figure. Since that day, I'd never get in a car w/o wearing my seatbealts. BTW, her Pathfinder looks 20x worse than yours. We must have flipped a dozen times, I lost count because I felt like I was in a washing machine on a spin cycle.

Glad your ok.

You didnt do anything wrong, when you jerked it, (dont know you your really remember but) after yuo first jerked it did the car start fish tailing then? or after you jerked back did it start fish tailing?

either was I belive since you had to react so quickly, it broke the tail free causing you guys to go sideways, and ofcourse being completely sidways and going 45mph once you hit the side of the road the car flipped.

you guys are blessed indeed, good thing you told her to put on her seat belt, otherwise. . . .I dont even want to say it.

glad you guys are alright.

Good to see that you escaped without injury. That must have been an interesting flip for the car to come out the way it did.

I'm still curious to hear about how it happened. It looks like you were on a pretty straight road, from what the pictures show.
