I can't think of any reason they'd be different, but just curious

honest question my man. never thought of all the differences structurally and mechanically with 95-96 and 97-99? even to the strut tower brace nut size. and that annoying piece of metal on the strut tower brace of the 99's. man strutbar install was a biiitch. anyway, i have a cali spec too, too many differences and i'm looking to buy one and expand my purchasing field. this is why i asked.

isn't there a slighhhhhhhhht difference with the air intake temp. sensor? i thought the 95/96's had it direction into the box through that hole, and the 97-99's had it somewhere else where you don't have to worry about it. so, wouldn't a 95/96 have a hole that the 97-99 doesn't need? i think you can patch/cover it up with a screw and a piece of metal or something, but they aren't exactly the same iirc. (or am i wrong????)

ok. first read the faqs. it will help you in more ways than you know. as far as mechanics there are not alot of differences in between the models. just subtle changes from year to year.

last time i checked this wasn't a question that was covered in the FAQs. maybe you should lay off the guy being that he already got his question answered. you aren't helping anyone.

my lack of tone in the wording in my post has led you to think that i was comming down on him. i was not. yes its an honest question. and i gave him a brief answer to it. and no he did not get the resolution he was looking for, just a speculation. kb, my apologies

i didn't mean to be so hard either. i think it's just the way the org is now a days...used to be so nice and helpful and now no one can ask a simple question without people jumping all over them. i can't stand it. so, sorry. no hard feelings!

no worries. but to answer the original question.under the hood its almost identical all the way through 95-99. but the changes are so subtle you wont notice unless you know what to look for. as for the air box its the same all the way.

see? that wasn't so hard. i mean i like to have fun with people on the org, but those are the intake and tornado fuel saver threads. but now that i have a flashing o/d, stockbox is the less of my worries
