Knock Sensor

I hooked up the scanner to the max today and it said it was the knock sensor. I called up Nissan in North Dartmouth, Ma and they said $190. I dont have that kinda $$ right now. I want OEM but not for $190. I'm lookin for a GD around $100 or so. Can anyone help me? JRNissanParts, are you still running that deal?? thanks, Jeff

How do you know when your KS goes bad? The previous owner only used 87 , so it was pinging when I got it. I immediately switched to 91 and threw in some fuel cleaner, but it still pings occasionally. Just not as much. Thanks.

when your KS goes bad, you'll feel your acceleration become sluggish and experience some hesitation in the low to midrange rpms. The SES light won't light up b/c its a ghost code and its not enough to trip the light, but lets say one of your o2 sensors trips the SES light, you'll also get the code for the KS
