Transmission Mounds

Has anyone replaced their transmission mounts, and/or does any one have pictures of the tranny mounts.

I think mine are busted.

thanks

There are four motor mounts, front, rear, driver side, and passenger side. The transmission is attached to the driver side of the engine, so the side motor mount on the driver side is also known as the tranny mount.

Most of the time its the rear and front mounts that go... Why do you think its your transmission mount?

I feel this bump when I go over speed bumps (about 4mph) and its an odd knock sound which seems to be the result of something moving up and down. trying to pin point and it might be the mount.

my accident a while back could have cause mounts to wear down, but its only over thoe bumps I feel it/hear it.

i dont think its suspension related, but thats getting upgraded anyway.

Test your mounts... have someone get in the car... stand outside and open the hood. Have the person put the car in drive... and brake torque (if its an auto).. step on the brake and gas at the same time and you'll see if the engine is moving around too much you have bad mounts.

Good suggestion I'm 5 Speed, but I'll try that and see what happens.

After leaving after my last post, I think its my exhaust bouncing around, I drove a little faster over the speed bumps and I could hear the sound come more from the rear that the front, I'll inspect my hangers and such as well as test motor mounts.

if only it wasnt 39 degrees outside, I'll have to check sunday as its going to rain all saturday.
