Curious -> Cost for a dealer to replace your water-pump?

Hey guys...

I'm heading to the dealership to editify a problem i'm having with my car (see thread below in the page... lol)

anywho, I'm starting to wonder if it's a defective water pump which is causing the problem. AND if it is, how much it would cost to replace?

I heard it's not an easy task to replace. Possibly involveing
removing the timing chain.

How much would it cost to have something like this replaced?
Along with approximately how much time?

Thanks

note: I'm reading the FAQ about doing it myself..

if i go to the dealership will they perform this huge routine where they have to remove a ont of pieces to access the water-pump? or will they do it like in the FAQ? simply replace a belt tensionner and go from there?

If it's recommended that I do this by myself then I'll give that a shot instead

better go to a trusted mechanic for a more realistic price than any price the stealership gives you.

true... i'm going to try a diff place this time... the mechanic I usually go see seems to like taking his time... you know walking slower than usual... etc...

I got mine done at Midas for $300 (they did break my tensioner though and had to order a new one, but that was hopefully an isolated incident). I've done this myself once and it sux dont' do it trust me.
