35% Tint

Who all has 35% and pics to go along with it? I need to see what it looks like -- I can't find anywhere that will tint 20% so 35% might be what I'm stuck with, but I don't think that would be ever worth the $165 it would cost to get it done.... just want to see what I am comparing with.

Thank you to those with pics

I dont have 35% but i've seen it and i personally think it's too light for the money your gonna pay. Keep looking, you'll find someone that will do 20%. I have 5%on the back and 20% on the front.

I want 20% and it looks like I'll be making the 6 hour trip to ATL to get it done. TN just got really strict on their tint for some reason -- 20% isn't that dark I don't think. We've got a silverado and it's got 20%, and I don't think it's dark at all.

35% is not very dark..... i have 35% mirror tint its only tinted when light reflects off it.. so the sun reflects off so you dont have that horrible glar when driving on a sunny day and at night you can see out it awsomly because its clear just like looking threw the windshild when looking out from the inside so backing up is not a problem at night

here is my site for pics http://www.cardomain.com/id/nismo_boy

I paid $80 here in Dallas...through a friend. Another place that everyone in DNE gets sent to is ~$100/tint job.

Here is a pic of mine with 35%:

Looks dark in this pic...

And kinda light in this pic...

The darkness really depends on how light it is outside.

Check my homepage. I've got 35% on the front and rear side windows and then 20% on the rear window. Looks wise 20% is much better so if I could do it again I would probably go 20%. The good thing about my 35% though is that I haven't had any trouble from the cops in the 3 years I've had it.

I guess the 35% will work -- It's at least tint, and I'd be pissed if next week I get pullee over for having the 20%. And also, I'm moving back to MN soon and I heard they are being *******s up there about it too ..... and 35% might look darker on a white car ? maybe? lol I don't know. (jk....btw)

Thank you for the pics I guess it won't be that bad. Better than paying the ticket and the $$ to get it removed.

Recommend away ... I think I am going to go with the 20% ... if I get pulled over, I get pulled over. They haven't pulled over our truck yet, so I should be ok. I don't know. I don't really care. lol I am getting the PS2, a DVD and a screen installed in my car -- I don't want it to be easily seen, ya know?

20% is perfect. During the day, its moderately dark where others can see the outline of the driver, but not specifcally who. A bit darker at night

i would recommend 35% tint, if you dont want people to see the crap in your car then get an alarm system. i have had it for a couple months now, you cant see through it at night and i havent got pulled over for it yet

i just got mine done with 35 all around. kinda light but not to dark to the extent of grabbing some coppers attention. but if i could redo it, id go with 20 in back and 35 up front. was thinking of doing the windshield like a very light tint so i dont have to wear sunglasses but still be able to see at night.

How is the visibility OUT of the car with tint like 20%?

I'm looking into getting some (I'll probably end up with 20%), but I still want to see clearly out of the car at night...

jenni, i'd do the 20% visibility out is not a problem and people won't be looking in your car

the guy i know in austell did a great job on my max and his # is 770-745-6464
he does good work and did my windshield, windows and sunroof

i'd give you some pics of my tint but the 35% on the windshield makes it look much darker than just 20% on the windows

I have 20% on front and 5% on back and i love it.
I almost went with 15% in the front but its so dark here at night that im kinda glad i didnt.. my friend had 5% in front on his WRX, and i drove it home one night and i felt like i had blinders on.

Id go with 20% man, i dont know how the cops are there but ive had no trouble at all here. If i do it again id get 20 or 15 myself. 35 or 50% is a waste of money to me.

Police said mine were about 6 percent. I said the sun causes cancer. At night I roll them down when coming to intersections. No problems.

I never had tints before and I just got 20% tint on my Black/Black and I think it's too light. I can still see in it at night too, which I dont necasarily like BUT I do like how you can see the lovely leather interior still. I was thinkin about doin what A Flood did and thow 35% on the Windshield, but might just go to 5% not sure tho.

I had 35% done 6 months ago as per shop advised me any darker (20%) will get tickets; so did 35% and is so light that I feel I wasted my $150; now I don't know but really want to redo 20% and if cops start harrasing me may put 35% on front windows. Or may just put 20% in rear window to see if interior of car darkens a little. I am very upset; now will have to pay to take 35% off and put 20% on; maybe $250. I wish I had seen cars with those two tints before doing mine.

i live in california and cops never hassle me. i've had cops pull up next to me at redlights during the day or night several times and none of them even told me a thing even tho i had my windows up. last time i was pulled over for running a stop sign, the cop looked at my windows and he still didnt say anything. *knock on wood*

and my tint is pretty dark

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...63_26_full.jpg

if u wanna tint ur window again, get something darker than 15% or its gonna be waste of money once again. i have 15% and mine is still not that dark...

I have 5% on my '95 all the way around with a 5%, 20" brow across the windshield. Tint is by Lumar and came with a lifetime warranty and certificate....which means I can take it to any Lumar dealer nationwide and get it replaced for free....which is nice.
The 5% takes a little getting use to at night in dark parking lots.....trying to back up, but other than I love it.
I also live in CA......but I have out of state tags, so the cops leave me alone.
