Legally, they should have an orange reflector on the side. So no, they are not legal, regardless of bulb color.

You should be alright with amber bulbs in there. Even if you do get a ticket, it's a "fix it ticket", so throw in your stocks, take a pic, plead not guilty and when you get it dismissed, put your clears back on.

They are illegal. If you notice all cars made for the US come with an amber reflector at the front corners of the cars. If the cop is very picky about it he can get you a ticket. I would suspect that you have 99% chance of not getting ticketed for it.

I have em though I couldn't resist

i was thinking about keeping the white bulb but i thought amber is sexier with the stock corner light, also been driving around in these clear bumpers lights forever no problems at all, police probably even think its stock

i have clears with white bulbs and got pulled over for them while doing a "42 in a 30". im fighting the case. i doubt youll be pulled over for the lights alone but they could ticket you for the lights if you get pulled over for something else.

You got it.
Its not a city or state law. Its a FEDERAL LAW that mandates car manufacturers install orange reflectors in the front sides of the car like our corner lights. Same with the rear and red reflectors on the sides.

If you put clear ones in, its illegal.. if you put orange bulbs in, its illegal.

Yup, here in the city though they have really slowed down on fix it tickets like headlights and tail lights... the city doesnt want those anymore since they dont make any money off of them.

Most police officers dont know what the law is on something as simple as clear corners.

i dun think any mods at all are ever legal but...

putting in the clear lamp with a hyper white/ blue light will attract the most attention, and could get you pulled over for "impersonating a cop" because it has a faint blue

personally i would stick with the clear lamp and a nice amber bulb

one time a cop pulling me over for somthing else said: stop arguing with me, your whole car is illegal look at your turn signals

and i flashed them for her and they flashed orange, and i said nu uh... they orange nannie nannie boo boo - then she left me alone about them

it all depends on how much risk you want to take

biggest thing - dont use white running lights in the back, that'll get u into trouble quickly

Well, first it's corners not coners. If you are using them to turn (which nearly no one does) what difference if it is red, blue or green? Last time I heard you could stick your arm out the window to signal a turn and I have yet to see an arm with a yellow light sticking out of a car.

They are illigal but with orange bulbs you shouldn't be messed with, if you get pulled over and you **** the cop off or he is just looking for stuff wrong wtih your car he can give you a inspection ticket or regulaer ticket because they have no orange reflector like posted above.

it matters because it's a federal law. just because some people don't use their turn signals doesn't mean that you can just do whatever you want with them. sorry pal.

I haven't heard of a federal law mandating orange turn signals. Why would the states enforce it? They don't enforce federal law on illegal aliens (as if there are any).
