well, it all went well except there was a slight fitment issue. i had to push my catback exhaust about an inch back to make it fit, and thats why its hitting. the bend in the intermediate pipe is hitting. also, the tip sticks out an inch farther now!

what did you all do about this? im wondering if i should have the pipe bent slightly around the frame, or should i have them cut out a one inch-ish piece of b-pipe to bring the system back how it was pre-ypipe?

also on the cattman pipe, i can tell the flex joint is whistling. the first time i started it, i heard bees and just about CRYED! i havnt heard it since, but in mid-rpms (3500-5000) the pipe whistles sporadicly. should i take it down and wrap it with header wrap??

one last thing, about cats. if i find a stock cat from a junkyard and gut it, how much hp/tq gains am i looking at? a totally gutted cat should provide better performance than a high flow, right?

ok, lots of q's, i know...thx for reading

How difficult was the install?

I bought a Stillen y-pipie the other day and a Courtesy B-pipe and was wondering how difficult the install is. Do I need any special tools?
thanks

u should return the courtesy piece..do a search on it and youll see why. you have to have a shop make a piece for you...do a search.

the ypipe wasnt hard, just take your time, spray all the bolts with liquid wrench, and print out the directions on maximadriver.com (thanks cheston
