how are 4th gen rims made? cast or forged??

how are 4th gen rims made? cast or forged??

im deciding weather to buy stock 17' or a cheap aftermarket.. something like BSA's is there any big difference between the strenght of stock ones and say a cast BSA wheel????

They're definitely cast.

The lightest aftermarket rims without spending a bundle are made by ASA. They're also good looking because although they are BBS knock-offs, they are licensed by BBS.

Didn't see the prices you said. Their website is weak imho. They sell rims with the "Hot Wheels" logo, are they kidding? I can see that buying rims has become like buying eyeglasses......a 3-ring circus!

The prices may be Denver only.

anyone know anything about this company BSA??? theres a set on ebay i like, but for only 400 im kinda suspecious.. even though im only gonna go with a 17, and probably a 225 or 235/45/17 tire.. i really dont wanna go through bending rims again.. im comin down from 18's with a 40series on them..

The only thing about stock wheels is that they are so heavy.

if you put a non-racing 18" on then you'll know heavy

ummm, i think the BSA wheels would be classified as cheap and you'd be better off spending more for a better wheel

they are supers, and a bit on the heavy side but ride smooth

On the supers, the spokes are a little thicker and probably look better than the regular F1s?

i thought so and the lugs are in-between the spokes instead of on them
