Stuck Anntenna

Hey, I have a 99 GLE and the attenna does not go all the way down. This is an issue that needs to be fixed. The attenna still goes all the way up when I turn the radio on, but stops about 6 inches from going all the way down. Before I break it worse, any good links or tips on replacing/fixing ?
Thanks

If it aint frozen, Then replace the ant mass. It should cost about 30 bucks and about 5 min to install.

maybe there is a small bent on the antenna and that is why it gets stuck, inspect it, and look for bents...the replace it, also maybe the plastic cable (inside) broke and that is the max the cable goes in...
for either of the two, you have to replace the mast....
