what is this?

there was a squeking sound comin from my breaks so i changed the pads b/c the old ones were old as hell.....i noticed it a bytch puttin the caliper back onto the rotor because the pads were thicker and even when i compressed the piston all the way back it was hard to put it on...well i finnaly put it on and the pads are like holding up agains the rotors and they are pretty tight on it....so tight that when im on a little slope my car doesnt roll backwards when clutch is in???Anyways i drove the car after i put the pads in and the damn thing was squeking again so i dunno what it can be? Can it be the pads still??? thanks

theres a chance mabye you have to bend the metal sensor back.. did you put stop squeak on ? sounds like you didnt get the caliper fully compressed to begin with. also, every other aftermarket pad i put on my car made noise.. i had to try about 6 different kinds.. only ones that dont make ANY noise on my car are nissan pads..

i would give it a good week or so for the squeeking to stop, the pads will have to break in and all

if that doesn't work get some anti-squeal on the contact points, i've never had any problems with organic pads

most likely a bad spring. about the caliper, make sure you took the cap off the brake fluid resivoir, when you compress the caliper back in, the flluid will rise so it needs room to move up there. if you have a friend with you, just break the bleeder hose open the caliper will move easily, and once you have the pads on, just have your friend bleed the brakes.
