Knock sensor was replaced...

but the symptoms remain. I off the ecm light, but it returns (and sometimes it blinks on and off, then goes back to solid amber and stays on). I don't understand what the problem is. I'm still getting that the knock sensor is the problem.

Per the Haynes manual if you don't reset the pcm after replacing an electical part (ie. knock sensor), and start the car the pcm will retain the old code that the sensor is still bad. But it also stated the computer should reset itself after 20-25 minutes of running the car with the new part. It's been a few days and althought it seems the problem is diminishing, power hasn't been totally restored.

Any advice is greatly appreciated........ps I've reset the computer several times (twice AutoZone deleted the code & I've deleted the code once or twice myself...

I think you should see a change in performance in a few hundred miles. Don't know about the harness though. KS harness bad?
