im getting my windows tinted this week and I was wondering what percenteage I should tint it ... i have to put 35 in front since it's the law but i don't know if i should put the rest at 5% or at 20% ??? my car is black and it's a GXE so it has crome around the windows and the door handles ...

give me your opinion and feed back ...

I went with 20% all around. I had 5% on my old car and it was tough to see at night. If you have to get 35% in the front then I would definately go 20%, it will blend better. Good Luck

I'd go 5%. I have it on mine, and while night vision is a little tougher. The car looks a lot tougher.

 

5%.. nothing else, I have 35% fronts and 5% rear on my black 97 SE and it looks real hot, you wont regret it. BTW i can see perfectly fine at night out the back, I dont see how its a problem unless you live in the woods or something... get 5%!!

 

i live in MA and law is 35 also..im geting it done.the guy i talked to said cops will bust your ***** if they think the tint to to hard to see in no matter where it is so i would stick with 35 all around also he showed my pics of cars with different %% doesnt look right (to me) i would go 35 all around!!!

I only like even tint... I would go with 35% mine is 50% and I like that on black maximas because otherwise it looks like you have no windows

 

Well, I have 20% mirror (silver) because my tint shop didn't offer 5%. I got mirror tint because I have the chrome accents too on my Max. I also suggest that if you were planning on tinting your black Max, tint it so that all the windows match, let's say 35% all around. If you have black interior than your 35% will look a little darker more like 20%, but its all on you with what color and percentage you like. I just wanted to get mirror because I was planning on gettin chrome wheels and I thought it would match and it does, but now I want to get rid of my rims and get bigger silver ones. It will still look okay, its not like mirror tint is very chrome like, its just very reflective depending on the percentage.

 

AKA on the sides would be the same. The back and roof can be tinted darker. This also makes the car a little more "invisible" and people wont think you're a limo driver driving vip's around...hahahaha
