Leather seats install question -->
Hey guys, I'm almost half way through the installation process, just put the rear seat back in the car, looks great.
Now, I can't figure out how to remove the back part of the front passenger seat. I removed the bottom part though.
Does anyone know? Please help.

You shouldn't need to remove it ...
You shouldn't need to remove it. I finished the front seats yesterday (guess I'll get around to the door panels sometime). The front seats have "panels" on the back. Remove the panel via the four clips (two on the bottom and two in the middle) then the panel will drop downward. The clips are like those on a door panel. I don't have the specific tool to remove the clips but found the hog ring pliers (opened slightly and inserted in the correct location) work great.
Re: You shouldn't need to remove it ...
Oh, so I can install the back part w/o removing it? Cool, I'm gonna try to remove the panel now.
I also removed left passenger door panel and cut the leather insert (I decided to go with silver leather door inserts instead of vinyl). Now I need to apply the Super Trim Adhesive that came with the install kit and it's all set.
Thanks for your help.

sorry i missed you on IM. mlocke is right, you dont have to remove the back rest to install the leather. the panel does have to come off though.. there are three rows of connectors, the top row is metal clips and the bottom two are plastic plugs. if you jam your fingers in the groove between the seat and the panel, you can feel the plastic plugs. the plugs have two "wings" and they are probably vertical, you need to use your finger or a screwdriver to rotate the plug until the wings are horizontal. then you have to push *hard* to slide the panel off each plug. of the plugs on the right side, you have to push right, and for the left plugs, you have to push left. then once you get all four plugs off, then you pull the panel down.
i finished all of the seats; but i havent installed the panels or the door inserts...

Just finished the instal
The new leather interior looks awesome, I'll try to take pics this week. Everything fitted properly w/o any problems.
So it took me about 2 days (4-5 hours a day) to instal the seats and door panels, not that bad considering I did it all by myself w/o any help.
Thanks Eric for your perfect customer service and product.
Thanks dfwmax and mlocke for yout prompt help.
