I have been considering getting custom b piping from local shops. I went out today to get some quotes. The first place (Tuffy) said it would be $200-$250 for the ALUMINIZED piping mandrel bent, a resonator, and all the custom fitment and welding (including welding to the flowmaster I'm getting). This guy just said bring in the new muffler whenever and we can do it about 2 hours.

The second place (muffler man)said same, about $200-$250. I forgot to ask if he had stainless steel or aluminized (sheet my bad). He lifted up my car and we checked it out to see how it would all work. He said It'll be weird b/c the cat. is 2.25 (I'm getitng 2.5") so hed have to get two connector pieces (2.25 to 2.5) and do something to the O2 sensor behind the cat. He said he didnt have a mandrel bender, but some other thing that was NOT crush bending.

My questions for you are:
-How much did your piping, resonator(if you got a new one) and welding all cost?
-what all did they have to do to make it fit with the 2.25" cat.
-and any comments of what I should do to make it all work?
BTW I'm going to use a Flowmaster 60 Series muffler, and the biggest inlet is a 2.25", so i gotta do that.

 

I paid $175 for 2.5" piping,resonator,all welded in place AND ANY Magnaflow muffler of my choice. I had a y-pipe and 2.5" test pipe,so I dont think there were any modifications.
